The NEW “CREATION HEALTH MINISTRY (Lord’ Willing) of the Coudersport Free Methodist Church is slated to begin February 2012.
Are you sick and tired of being “Sick and Tired”?
The most successful means to change lifestyle habits from unhealthy to healthy habits is partnership. Our Creation Health ministry will take DISCIPLESHIP to the “Abundant” level the Lord intends for His people. It will include Body, Mind and Spirit. This ministry will be based on the authority of God’s Word, which is supported by scientific investigation.
The 8 Lifestyle practices of the longest living peoples of the world are documented in the ground-breaking research of the “China Study” and the “Blue Zones”. As Christians we are not surprised that those finding confirm Biblical teachings on health.
Do you want to see many if not all of your health problems reversed?
Do you want a partnership with others who seek to grow in a holistic manner – Body, Mind and Spirit?
Do you want to add ABUNDANCE to your life in Love, Joy, Peace, and all the other fruits of the spirit? Did you know these fruits add to your longevity?
Do you want to know how to change your diet to the one God provided at the very beginning of creation?
Do you want support in adding an exercise practice to your life?
FINALLY WE’RE AT IT AGAIN! – SAVING YOU 50% ON GROCERIES IN THE NAME OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.
You will need the free “acrobat reader” program on your computer to download and read the menu. You probably have it already. Since 2004, the Coudersport Free Methodist Church has served the local community through being a host site with the Angel Food Ministry. By 2006 we had ministered to 658 families and saved the households of the area over $30,000/year in grocery expense. When I get some free time (LOL) I might sit down and tabulate an overall figure for our 7 years of ministry through Angel Food, but the numbers are not important. What is important is that we have been allowed to serve Jesus by serving people. We consider it an honor to serve the Lord.
But as most of you know, the Angel Food Ministry has ended. We thank Angel Food for giving us the opportunity to serve. But now what? That’s the question many have been asking. Many local families depended on Angel Food boxes to help stretch their food budgets. We don’t want to let those families down. Now what?
NOW! Coudersport Free Methodist Church is Partnering With The SHARE Food Program!
Coudersport Free Methodist is now partnering with SHARE. The SHARE program of Philadelphia has been in operation since the mid 1980s The SHARE program is NOT a government program. SHARE is supported by non-profits organizations, churches, businesses and individuals. Food boxes are sold at just above wholesale cost of the items. The food is purchased through wholesalers and much is locally grown. SHARE food items DO NOT contain out of date, government surplus or dented items. All are of the highest quality, and ANYONE is eligible to order. There are NO applications. The SHARE program is however unique in asking for a commitment to do VOLUNTEER SERVICE as part of “sharing” in the benefits of the program. The volunteer service can be anything from helping a neighbor or family members to serving in a church or a community organization. Let’s SHARE to benefit our community!
MORE TO SHARE!
SHARE’S Mission–The SHARE Food Program, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving a regional network of community organizations engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy.
SHARE promotes healthy living by providing affordable wholesome food to those willing to contribute through volunteerism.
“Do good, feel good, eat good: A smart idea that brings community and healthy food together!”
S.H.A.R.E stands for “Self Help And Resource Exchange”!
SHARE helps families build food security. Through SHARE anyone can purchase food packages worth $35-$45 & are encouraged to share 2 hours of volunteer service. Most food packages are $22 and under (including a delivery fee).
Food packages contain frozen meats, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other items.
SHARE offers a wide variety of food packages to meet everyone’s needs.
SHARE is volunteer service! Anything you can do for another person or organization without pay is volunteer service. It might be helping a neighbor, teaching Sunday School, working in a school, delivering meals to an elderly person, visiting someone in a nursing home, helping with scouts, etc. You decide!

ANGEL FOOD MINISTRIES has sent us word that orders for September have been cancelled.
Coudersport Free Methodist Church has been a Host Site for Angel Food since 2004. The word is that this action is the result of declining order numbers and the inability to purchase the volume of food needed for the discounts given.
At this point, we are deciding if we will continue being a host site due to the few local orders received each month.
We are praying God’s guidance to show us how to best serve our community. Won’t you join us in that prayer.
To be formed spiritually in Biblical terms means to be in that ongoing process of becoming like Christ Jesus our Lord.
In Jeremiah’s prophecy, chapter 18, the prophet is told to go down to the Potter’s house.
In doing so, God gives Jeremiah an object lesson as the Potter turns a lump of clay upon his wheel. All seems to go well until a defect is found in the clay and the end result is a ruined attempt at creating an unmarred pot. But the Potter does not give up on the it. Instead He beats down the clay and kneads it until that imperfect part is gone. Afterwards, he places the lump back on the wheel for another try.
The lesson given to Jeremiah is not a pleasant one. He is given a message to Judah that they have been found wanting because of their idolatry and many other sins. Therefore, God – the Heavenly Potter – must knead them down again throw defeat and persecution until they are again a mold-able people.
In fact, the trials and troubles that are allowed into God’s plan for Judah are a demonstration of His mercy and grace. If God did not care, He would allow them to continue on with their destructive and damaging behaviors. The end result would be the scrap heap.
Likewise, the mercy of the Lord, at times allows suffering, pain, difficulty, and even persecution to enter the life of the Christian in order that we do not continue in destructive behaviors that, in the end, will also place us on the scrap heap.
Have you ever thought of praising the Lord for the difficult place you are in? Have you thought of praising Him for the trials and troubles of your life? It may be His mercy to you.
Yes again! Over the years I have struggled to find the “perfect software” to create and maintain a website for the Church. I wanted something easy to use and easy to update. I didn’t want to have to learn more “html” etc. etc. Anyway, now that I’ve tried WordPress for a few different websites, I really like it. I like it because I don’t need any software on my computer. It’s all web-based. I just go online and work on it anytime I want. It’s also “blog” software so I can add to pages and everyone can go back and see what happened last week. I know. You’re starting to yawn. But I hope you take a look at the new website and give me some feedback by adding comments to the pages. If you’d like to see something new or added, just let me know. You will have to “sign-up” and then you will receive a password. That will allow you to come on the site anytime and make comments. I think I’ll put a “comments” page for general discussion as well. Thanks for your time. May God Bless the remainder of your day, week, month, year, decade, —— life! Pastor Pete
